The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University is currently inviting applications for Part-time Adjunct Teaching Positions in the Department of Philosophy httpsphilosophy.wvu.edu and the Program for Religious Studies httpsreligiousstudies.wvu.edu .

Areas of need include but are not limited to:

• Current Moral Issues • Introduction to World Religions • History and Practice of Christianity • History and Practice of Islam

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in-person or online courses in the Department of Philosophy or in the Program for Religious Studies. Generally, individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses, while individuals with a masters degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis.

Philosophy

The positions for the Department of Philosophy require a masters or doctoral degree in Philosophy or a closely related discipline. Program for Religious Studies

The positions for the Program for Religious Studies require a masters or doctoral degree in Religious Studies or a closely related discipline. For all positions, evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level is required.
