Kids in Tech (KiT) is hiring enthusiastic, dependable, and mission-driven Part-Time Afterschool Program Counselors to support our STEM programs throughout Greater Boston and Lowell.This is a great opportunity for high school students, college students, recent graduates, and young professionals who enjoy working with children and want hands-on experience in youth development, education, recreation, or community service.Pay: $22.00/hourHours: Approximately 8–15 hours per weekSchedule: September 2026–June 2027, following the school calendarLocations: School and community-based program sites throughout Greater Boston and LowellWhat You'll DoAs an Afterschool Program Counselor, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, organized, and engaging environment for students participating in Kids in Tech programs. You'll work alongside SPARK AmeriCorps Members, Kids in Tech staff, and school partners to:Build positive relationships with students and serve as an encouraging role modelSupervise students and support positive behavior and engagementAssist with attendance, transitions, snacks, and dismissalPrepare program spaces and organize STEM materials and suppliesSupport field trips, family events, guest speakers, and special activitiesCommunicate student successes, concerns, and program needs to Kids in Tech staffYou do not need to be a STEM expert. SPARK AmeriCorps Members lead STEM lessons and instruction; Program Counselors focus primarily on student engagement, supervision, and program operations.Who We're Looking ForApplicants must be at least 16 years old, authorized to work in the United States, dependable, and excited about working with young people.
