We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and creative individuals to join our team of Art Educators serving classrooms throughout the Cincinnati Public School District.

This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who want meaningful part-time work while making a positive impact on children. Retired teachers, homemakers, parents, caregivers, professionals with classroom experience, and individuals with a passion for working with children are strongly encouraged to apply!

You do not need to be a professional artist. We provide the curriculum, lesson plans, and training you need to be successful.

The Opportunity

As an Art Educator, you will:

• Inspire creativity, imagination, and confidence through fun, hands-on art experiences.
• Teach students in grades K–8 using a proven curriculum developed by experienced educators.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Lead students through engaging art activities and provide clear, age-appropriate instructions.
• Encourage children to explore their creativity while developing new skills.
• Use your leadership, communication, and classroom management skills to create a successful learning environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Work independently while being part of a supportive and collaborative team.

Position Details

• Part-time teaching schedule: Approximately Monday–Thursday, 6 hours per week, generally between 2:00 PM–5:00 PM.
• Location: Cincinnati Public School District locations throughout the area.
• Curriculum and lesson plans provided.
• Paid training provided.

Qualifications & Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

• A genuine love for children and a desire to make a positive impact.
• The ability to confidently lead and engage a classroom of students.
• Previous classroom, childcare, youth-program, leadership, or classroom-management experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned school locations.
• The ability to pass required background checks.
• The ability to follow a structured curriculum and established teaching system.
• Three verifiable professional references.
• The ability to follow basic art instructions and demonstrate activities clearly.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide age-appropriate instruction.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt when needed.
• Excellent organization, dependability, and a self-starter mindset.
