Job Summary: The Assembler is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of custom orthotic devices according to patient specifications and prescriptions. This role involves working with specialized materials, tools, and equipment to ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely production of orthotics.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble custom orthotic devices based on detailed work orders and prescriptions
Operate lab equipment such as grinders, presses, ovens, and sanding tools
Trim, shape, and finish orthotic components to precise specifications
Select and handle materials including plastics, foams, and adhesives
Perform quality checks to ensure fit, function, and durability standards are met
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Collaborate with lab technicians and supervisors to meet production deadlines
Maintain accurate records of work completed
Qualifications:
Ability to work with hand tools and small machinery
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Basic understanding of safety procedures in a lab or production environment
