Job Description
The Assistant Events Coordinator serves as a liaison between clients and the Convention Center operating staff during events. Working under the direction of the Events Staff, this position assists with the execution of events and is responsible for monitoring event operations to ensure that facilities, equipment, physical setup, and labor provided meet the requirements of the event and the clients contractual agreements, while adhering to all applicable safety, health, and fire code standards. The Assistant Events Coordinator will address operational needs and client requests, communicate with internal departments, and help troubleshoot issues that arise during events.
This is a part-time, in-person position with hours driven by the Convention Center's event schedule and operational coverage needs. Candidates must be willing to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

The Raleigh Convention and Performing Arts Complex (RCPAC) has a portfolio of four stunning venues that can host anywhere from 20 to 20,000- Atlantic Union Bank Convention Center, Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts, Red Hat Amphitheater, and Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek. Typical Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; 1 to 3 years experience in marketing, social media, event coordination, or related field
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted
