Job Title: Part Time - Biology Instructor Location: Lake County Campus - Clear Lake, CA
Job Description ---------------
BASIC FUNCTION Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for BIOLOGY, ECOLOGY, ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, or MICROBIOLOGY courses up to 10 hours a week.
Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning, interactive television, online, and accelerated courses.
Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester.
Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees, if desired.

The successful candidate must possess the minimum qualifications stated below:
Masters in any biological science OR Bachelors in any biological science AND Masters in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science OR The equivalent

Preference may be given to candidates with life or teaching experience that would demonstrate the clear ability to teach Biology to community college students.
Physical Demands -----------------
Range: Step Class I - VII, based on degree and teaching experience.
Salary Range: $1,558.22 - $2,609.76 per unit.

The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary Adjunct faculty position. Part-time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years, applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.
