Job Description ---------------
BASIC FUNCTION ----------------
Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for BIOLOGY ECOLOGY ANATOMY PHYSIOLOGY OR MICROBIOLOGY courses up to 10 hours/week. Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. Teach day evening and/or weekend teaching assignments which may include distance learning, interactive television, online, and accelerated courses. Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester. Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired.

The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time temporary Adjunct faculty position. Part-time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years, applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.

It is important to note that the District retains the right to extend time limits or initiate the recruitment/selection process anew at any stage. Education Code §87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that he/she is free of active tuberculosis. As a condition of employment, the position you are applying for will require that you provide fingerprints to the local police department. The fees charged by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and FBI for the fingerprint report are the employees responsibility. Fingerprint clearance must be received prior to the employees first day on the job.
