Client Overview:
Our client is a community-focused establishment that provides resources and public services for all ages. They serve as a local hub for learning, engagement, and community connection. They are currently looking to add a Part-Time Bookkeeper to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a temp, Part-Time Bookkeeper to support the library's finances. This is a new opening due to a resignation; the prior employee handled multiple responsibilities, including the library's financials. The Part-Time Bookkeeper will manage bookkeeping/accounting tasks and support the monthly financial reporting to the Board (first Tuesday of every month). Hours are 20 - 25 per week (max 25; some weeks may be less). The duration is 4 - 6 months with the potential to go permanent. Start is within a week after the interview.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time Bookkeeper:
  • Manage bookkeeping and day-to-day financial tracking.
  • Maintain and update records in QuickBooks.
  • Support monthly financial reporting for the Director/Board cycle (first Tuesday of the month).
  • Assist with other finance-related tasks as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:
  • QuickBooks experience.
  • Bookkeeping experience.
  • Open to part-time work.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Part-Time Bookkeeper:
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or general finance support experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field is preferred.
