The Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant supports CAI's accounting operations by reviewing invoices, reconciling accounts, monitoring accounts receivable, and preparing financial reports. The role requires accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established accounting procedures. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, timely completion of assigned work, and clear communication with internal team members, clients, and vendors.
This is a part-time, fully in-office position, averaging approximately 16 hours per week. Regular on-site attendance is required, and remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Review prepared invoices in QuickBooks for accuracy prior to processing.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a scheduled basis.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on current and past-due invoices.
Prepare financial reports using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Support the accounting team in maintaining efficient accounting processes.
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED. Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience.
REQUIRED. Experience using QuickBooks.
REQUIRED. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
REQUIRED. Ability to work onsite on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for approximately 16 hours per week.
REQUIRED. Legal right to work in the United States.
REQUIRED. Must successfully complete a background investigation, including verification of employment history and professional references, as a condition of employment.

Technology and Reporting Expectations
Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required. General computer proficiency, including email and other common business applications, is expected. The role requires accurate and timely maintenance of financial records and reports.
