Job Title: Part time Building and Grounds Technician

Position Overview
Mooresville Christian Academy is a thriving, growing Christian school dedicated to academic excellence and spiritual growth.
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented professional to support the upkeep, safety, and appearance of our facilities and surrounding grounds. This part-time role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, functional, and welcoming spaces while responding promptly to routine maintenance needs.
Part-time, 16-24 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair tasks throughout the building and grounds.
- Inspect indoor and outdoor areas to identify safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or needed repairs.
- Assist with landscaping duties such as trash removal, lawn care, snow or ice management, and general exterior upkeep as needed.
- Support setup, teardown, and movement of furniture or equipment for events and daily operations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance materials.
- Report larger repair needs and safety issues to the appropriate team members or vendors.
- Follow all established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Provide responsive, courteous service to staff, visitors, and others using the facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in building maintenance, custodial work, groundskeeping, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, cleaning equipment, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, walking, and working indoors and outdoors.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented attitude.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and well-kept environment.
Preferred Attributes
- Flexible availability for part-time scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends if needed.
- Familiarity with seasonal grounds care and basic facility maintenance.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to urgent maintenance requests.
