Essential Job Functions:
- Under the direction of the Transportation Coordinator, maintain cleanliness of all Tulsa Tech checkout vehicles; wash and conduct detail cleaning of the inside of vehicles as is necessary to maintain District standards. Report problems to the Transportation Coordinator in a timely manner.
- Plan trips and routes, read maps, and find locations and street addresses locally and throughout the state for field trips and tours; maintain current knowledge of sending-school locations and the locations of other schools around the state.
- Provide support to district programs by ensuring safe, reliable and clean transportation by way of company vehicles for staff and students of TTC as needed.
- Operate all mini, standard, or large buses in the fleet, with or without automatic transmissions and with or without air brakes; operate vehicles in a safe and timely manner to transport students and staff to their destination, for field trips, meetings, and other related activities.
- Operate other equipment in the fleet, including Mobile Computer Lab, cars, and vans.
- Accurately and completely prepared the required documentation for all vehicle utilization and trips.
- Exercise reasonable care and demonstrate a proper concern for protecting District property and the welfare of self and others by obeying all safety rules and practices; operate motor vehicles and other power equipment in full compliance with safety requirements, both stated rules and any unstated but generally accepted safe practices.
- Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation, and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Job Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a passenger bus driver.
- State of OK Class B Driver's License with passenger endorsement, school bus endorsement, air brake endorsement with State Dept. of Ed Transportation Division Certification is required.
