Rosary Cathedral School (Toledo, OH) Position Summary:
Our Catholic elementary school is seeking a dependable, caring, and service-oriented Part-Time Cafeteria Worker to assist with the daily operation of our school lunch program. The successful candidate will help provide a welcoming dining experience for students while supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve student lunches according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and cafeteria environment.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and cleanup.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow food safety and health regulations.
- Monitor students in the cafeteria and promote respectful behavior.
- Work collaboratively with school staff and volunteers.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the principal or cafeteria manager.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Food service experience is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work effectively with children and adults.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Successful completion of required background checks and diocesan safe environment requirements.
Schedule: - Part-time
- School days only; no evenings, weekends, or major holidays.
