    Caregiver – In-Home Senior Care (Short Day Shifts Available)

    Senior Helpers – South Tacoma

    Pay: $20.50 – $24.00 per hour (depending on experience and certification)
    Job Type: Part-Time | Daytime Hours | Flexible Schedule

    About the Role

    Senior Helpers – South Tacoma is actively seeking compassionate and dependable caregivers who are available for short daytime shifts (typically 3–5 hours).

    These shifts are essential in helping our clients with daily routines, companionship, and support throughout the day. If you are looking for part-time hours that fit into your schedule, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

    What We’re Looking For

    We are specifically looking for caregivers who:

    • Are available for short daytime shifts (3–5 hours)
    • Are dependable and consistent with their availability
    • Enjoy building relationships and providing companionship
    • Are comfortable working in a variety of home environments

    Caregivers who are open to shorter shifts often have opportunities to build into more consistent hours over time.

    Responsibilities

    As a caregiver, your work may include:

    • Companionship and conversation
    • Assistance with daily activities (dressing, mobility, hygiene)
    • Light housekeeping and meal preparation
    • Supporting routines and providing supervision
    • Observing and reporting changes in condition

    Documentation Expectations

    Caregivers are required to complete detailed shift notes in our caregiving app at the end of every visit.

    This includes documenting:

    • Care provided
    • Client condition
    • Any changes or concerns

    Caregivers who take pride in clear, thorough documentation are highly valued on our team.

    Requirements

    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Availability for daytime shifts (3–5 hours)
    • HCA or CNA certification preferred
    • At least one year of caregiving experience preferred
    • Valid Drivers license
    • Reliable transportation
    • Comfortable using a smartphone app for scheduling and documentation
    • Ability to write clear notes in English
    • Must pass background check
