Now Hiring: Cashier/Sales Associate – Downtown Nyberg's ACE Hardware location

Seeking a customer-focused team member to provide exceptional service, process transactions accurately, and assist shoppers. Be part of a team that makes a difference!

** This position offers 15–25 hours per week. Weekend availability (at least every other weekend) is required.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
• Ring up purchases accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment securely.
• Assist customers in finding products and making recommendations based on their needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Answer customer questions and address any concerns they may have.
• Promote current sales, promotions, and events to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
• Assist with restocking shelves and maintaining store cleanliness as needed.
• Uphold company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, returns, and exchanges.

Requirements:

• Previous retail experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education/Training:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience:

Prior cashier experience is preferred, and customer service experience is highly valued.

Physical Demands:

This role involves standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), and occasional climbing.
