Job description Part-Time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) CasInvent is a biotech company developing small -molecule kinase inhibitors for oncology, with a current lead candidate targeting isomers of CK1 for liquid and solid tumors. The company is preparing for IND/IMPD submission and early Phase I trials. Key responsibilities : • Develop and maintain financial models for clinical development and company growth . • Support capital raising efforts (grants, venture funding, partnerships). • Advise on valuation, dilution, and deal structuring. • Create and manage operating budgets, R&D forecasts, and cash flow projections. • Monitor spending vs. budget across CMC, preclinical, regulatory, and G&A areas. • Supervise accounting processes and liaise with external accountants/auditors. • Ensure compliance with Czech and EU accounting standards (or conversion to IFRS if needed). • Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports for the board and investors. • Support grant applications and reporting (e.g. Eurostars, Horizon Europe). • Assist CEO and advisors in investor outreach, term sheet negotiation, and due diligence. • Help manage cap table and shareholder communication. Qualifications : • Experience as CFO, VP Finance, or Controller in a biotech, pharma, or VC -backed startup. • Strong knowledge of biotech funding models, especially in EU context. • Familiarity with IND/IMPD budgeting and clinical trial financing a plus. • Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic skills. • Fluency in Czech and English.
