POSITION PURPOSE:
The part-time Cook Center Event Worker will help with setting up events, working and cleaning up after events and general organization of the facility.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help with moving tables and chairs for Navarro College and private events.
- Represent Navarro College during hosted events.
- Will require working some evening events.
- Basic cleaning of the building before and after events.
- Help with organizing supplies.
- General organization and cleaning of facility.
- Provide a work schedule to assistant Event Coordinator.
- Attend worker meetings as called.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- A willingness to learn.

- Able to work independently and with others.
- Must be approachable and able to communicate with guests.
- Ability to take initiative.
- Able to see a project to completeness.
- Ability to make changes to a layout based on guest feedback.
- Flexibility is required.
- Ability to lift and move loads up to 40 lbs. repeatedly.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Guest service experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Variances from regular working hours may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. Times will be flexible according to the event schedule.
- May require working some evenings and weekends.
- Busy working environment with numerous interruptions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
SALARY: $12. per hour / up to 19 hours per week
