School Overview Over Drew Charter School’s twenty-year history, the school has grown to serve grades PreK-12 with nearly 1,900 students in a “cradle-to-college” pipeline, including two onsite early learning partners. Position Description The Part-Time Junior Academy Professional School Counselor provides counseling services to students, teachers, parents and others in the Junior Academy regarding personal, academic, and career issues. The school counselor ensures that programs are implemented in order to aid and support the students and community effectively. This position reports to the Senior Director of Counseling and Wellness with a dotted line to Academy Principal. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities The candidate should be experienced in building academic skills for students, developing methods for transitioning students, creating an effective classroom, small group, and individual guidance plan. The ideal candidate must work collaboratively with team members and must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Work Days: No more than 25 hours per week Salary: $39,000 |
