Job Description ----------------

BASIC FUNCTION ----------------

Develop and deliver instructional lectures for culinary arts courses up to 10 hours a week. Organize and teach all levels of culinary classes. Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning, interactive television, online, and accelerated courses. Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester. Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees, if desired.

Essential Duties -----------------

• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
• Required Qualifications:
• Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field.
• Any bachelors degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field.
• The equivalent.
• Possession of a California Community College Life Credential in the subject matter area.
• Possession of a ServSafe Food Handler Manager and Responsible Alcohol Certification.
• Experience working in an environment that focuses on hospitality and customer service, or the equivalent.
• Must apply through YCCDs Equivalency Application Process.
• Equivalency Requirement:
• All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District by the application filing date.
• Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.

Physical Demands -----------------

• Range: Step Class I - VII, based on degree and teaching experience.
• Salary Range: $1558.22 - $2609.76 per unit.

Benefits Information -------------------

• PART-TIME: less than .60 FTE
• Part-time positions less than .60 FTE are not entitled to any District paid fringe benefits.

• The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time temporary Adjunct faculty position.
• Part-time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment.
