Part Time Custodian

Custodian - Hendersonville, TN

The Custodian position at a building in Hendersonville, Tennessee, is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the facility. This role includes completing daily cleaning duties as assigned by the supervisor, working both independently and as part of a team.

The position includes:

One Day Porter: 4 hours per day

One Night Cleaner: 4 to 6 hours per night

Strong and consistent communication with the supervisor is essential to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and according to established standards. Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are key to success in this role.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections of assigned areas
• Follow all job duties and instructions provided by the supervisor
• Cross-train in different areas as needed
• Provide excellent customer service
• Report broken equipment or malfunctioning stations to the supervisor

Cleaning Duties May Include

• Sweeping and mopping floors
• Dusting surfaces
• Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
• Emptying trash and recycling
• Vacuuming carpets
• Disinfecting high-touch points and surfaces
• Cleaning glass doors and windows
• Cleaning and polishing drinking fountains
• Cleaning kitchens and break rooms
• Sweeping and mopping stairwells
• Wiping down handrails
• Cleaning and polishing elevators
• Keeping the custodial closet clean and organized
