Part-Time Dairy Merchandiser

JOB DESCRIPTION _____

Summary/Objective

The Merchandiser primarily provides retail sales merchandising coverage and coverage of retail special projects for the Mid-Atlantic region. They are responsible for representing Rutter's and our principals through store coverage and executing objectives as set forth by the Director of Sales or Sales Team Member to achieve superior in-store results and sales.

Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate Rutter's products on retail shelves and displays.
• Attend to customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ensure that product on the shelf is clean and in code.
• Able to lift and carry products to shelves and displays.
• Stack empty milk in area designated for Rutter's milk crates.
• Complete daily merchandising activity sheets.

Essential Functions

• Talk, hear, read, write, and comprehend English.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible hours / days to support business hours and needs.
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance and reliable transportation; must travel to store locations as well as offsite meetings (150+ miles occasionally).
• Ability to work independently and within group projects.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer or related office equipment.
• Must be able to grasp, push, reach, or stoop/kneel/crouch.
• Frequently required to stand and walk.
• Lift, push, and/or pull up to 50-60 lbs.
• Must be able to tolerate cooler temperatures (30-35 degrees in coolers).
• Must be able to walk up a flight of stairs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• This is a part-time position up to 25 hours per week. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

• Entry level position, no experience necessary
