C. Harper Auto Group is looking for dependable, professional Part-Time Drivers to support operations across our seven dealership locations.

This is an on-call position with flexible hours that's ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently and driving a variety of vehicles.

You'll transport dealership and customer vehicles, make parts and supply runs, move vehicles between C. Harper locations and occasionally handle longer-distance assignments.

COMPENSATION

• $12 per hour

• Part-time / on-call position

• Flexible hours based on business needs

• Company vehicles provided for assigned transportation duties

• Overnight accommodations paid by C. Harper when required for approved extended trips

• Opportunities for additional hours depending on dealership needs

Candidates with previous dealership driving, vehicle transport, courier, delivery, auction, parts-delivery or professional driving experience may qualify toward the higher end of the range.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Transport dealership vehicles between C. Harper locations

• Transport customer vehicles when required

• Pick up and deliver dealership vehicles

• Move new and pre-owned inventory

• Make parts runs

• Pick up dealership supplies

• Transport paperwork and documents

• Travel to vendors

• Travel to auction locations

• Support Sales and Service departments

• Serve as a runner between C. Harper's seven locations

• Inspect vehicles before and after transportation when required

• Maintain communication with dealership personnel

• Follow assigned routes and schedules

• Represent C. Harper professionally while on the road

• Safely operate a variety of passenger vehicles, SUVs and trucks

LONG-DISTANCE TRIPS AVAILABLE

Some assignments may involve longer-distance vehicle transportation.

Trips can occasionally require 8 14 hours of driving, depending on destination.

Overnight travel may also be available for extended assignments based on driver availability.

When an approved assignment requires an overnight stay, C. Harper pays for the accommodations.

If you enjoy road trips and don't mind putting some miles behind you, this could be a great part-time opportunity.

FLEXIBILITY IS IMPORTANT.

This is an on-call driving position, so there isn't necessarily a traditional Monday-through-Friday schedule.

Hours will depend on:

• Vehicle transportation needs

• Dealer trades

• Parts and supply requirements

• Customer transportation needs

• Auction activity

• Inventory movement

• Long-distance assignments

• Operational needs across C. Harper's seven locations

The more flexible your availability, the more useful you can be to the team.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Valid driver's license

• Clean and responsible driving record

• Dependable and punctual

• Flexible availability

• Comfortable driving for extended periods

• Comfortable driving unfamiliar vehicles

• Ability to safely operate cars, SUVs and light trucks

• Strong time-management skills

• Ability to follow directions

• Comfortable using GPS/navigation

• Professional appearance

• Courteous attitude

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to occasionally lift small to moderately sized items

• Willingness to work occasional weekends when needed

• Willingness to accept occasional long-distance assignments

RETIRED OR SEMI-RETIRED? THIS COULD BE A GREAT FIT.

This position may be especially attractive to someone who wants to work part-time without committing to a traditional full-time schedule.

C. Harper operates multiple dealerships throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania.

That means you won't necessarily spend every shift making the same trip.

One assignment may involve moving a vehicle between dealerships.

Another may require picking up parts.

Another could involve a dealer trade.

And occasionally, you may have the opportunity to take a longer-distance trip.
