Be part of a hands-on dental clinic that provides real-world learning opportunities for students while serving patients in the community. The part-time Dental Clinic Senior Administrative Assistant helps keep the clinic running smoothly and provides a welcoming, professional experience for patients, students, and clinic staff.
In this role, you'll coordinate daily clinic activities, support the clinical instructor and supervising dentist, and serve as a key point of contact for patients. You'll greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, manage patient flow, maintain accurate patient records, process payments, and communicate with patients' general dentists regarding referrals, records, and radiographs. Protecting patient privacy and maintaining accurate, confidential information are essential parts of the role.
You'll also help ensure the clinic is prepared for daily patient care and student learning by coordinating supplies and equipment, monitoring sterilization and infection control procedures, tracking equipment maintenance, and supporting dental unit waterline testing. The position works closely with students, helping orient and monitor them in clinical and office procedures and reinforcing established safety and infection control practices.
We're looking for someone with dental office experience who combines excellent customer service with strong organization and attention to detail. Success in this role requires professionalism, discretion, effective communication, and the ability to confidently manage multiple responsibilities in a busy clinical environment. Familiarity with dental office software and a commitment to patient privacy and safety are important.
