Part-Time Dental Hygienist

Overview:

We are a new Pediatric Dental office seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Assess patients#39; oral health by conducting visual examinations and reviewing medical history

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care

- Assist the dentist during procedures

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic dental software (Open Dental)

- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff

- Collaborate with the dental team to create treatment plans for patients

Experience:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Associate#39;s or Bachelor#39;s degree in Dental Hygiene

- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist

- Proficient in medical terminology and dental procedures

- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
