Job Title: Part-Time Dock Porter
Location: Lancaster, TX
Department: Operations / Maintenance
Reports To: Warehouse Manager or Terminal Manager
Position Summary
A Dock Porter will focus on the upkeep and support of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep the dock area clean and orderly, and assist with facility upkeep
- Transport supplies, and tools within the warehouse
- Ensure that spills are cleaned up and the workspace meets health and safety standards
- Conduct daily facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation
- Support emergency repairs and be available for on-call situations as needed
- Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse setting
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
- Comfortable working in cold storage environments (refrigerated and freezer conditions)
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Time management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Working Conditions
- Frequent exposure to cold and freezer environments (as low as -10°ree;F)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, standing)
- May require working nights, weekends, or overtime during peak periods
