Part-Time Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

Overview:

The Part-Time Early Childhood Substitute Teacher works collaboratively with the preschool team to ensure a high-quality program that aligns with YMCA values and early childhood best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Lead Teachers and Teachers in their classrooms.
• Assist with cooking, prepping and serving meals.
• Giving Lead Teachers and Teachers breaks and lunch breaks.
• Caring for children ranging in ages from birth-5 years.
• Bending and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Filling in for Lead Teachers and Teachers in their absence.
• All YMCA staff are responsible for creating a safe, inclusive environment. This includes following all YMCA policies and procedures related to abuse prevention, reporting concerns or incidents immediately, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with youth and members.

Qualifications:

• Be 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be a positive and proactive person.
• Have great communication skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Posted Salary Range: USD $11.00 - USD $13.00 /Hr.
