Every member of our team is a valuable resource in this pursuit of excellence, and we are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Part-Time ESL Instructor to support English Language Learners (ELLs) in achieving academic success and English language proficiency. The successful candidate will provide instructional support, monitor student progress, collaborate with classroom teachers, and help foster an inclusive learning environment that values cultural diversity.
This is a part-time position (.50), approximately 20 hours per week on a school year schedule.
Your day to day:
- Develop and assist teachers in implementing instructional strategies aligned with state English language proficiency standards.
- Assess student language proficiency and monitor academic progress.
- Administer WIDA annually
- Provide adequate WIDA administration training to building level designees
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language development across all content areas.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff members.
- Participate in meetings, professional development activities, and district training as required.
- Assist with compliance related to state and federal requirements for English Learner programs.
