The facility supports the research, development, and manufacturing of high‑performance composite materials used in aerospace and defense applications.About the EnvironmentThis operation develops and manufactures advanced composite material systems used in commercial and military aircraft applications. Products may include lightweight prepregs, resins, adhesives, and hybrid composite systems engineered for extreme temperatures and demanding service environments. The work environment requires a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, chemical safety, hazardous waste, industrial hygiene, emergency response, and safety program management within a quality‑driven manufacturing setting.What You'll Be DoingThe EHS Manager will help maintain and strengthen site EHS programs while partnering with operations, engineering, quality, R&D, and leadership teams.Key Responsibilities IncludeLeading and maintaining EHS programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state regulationsSupporting compliance with hazard communication, chemical safety, hazardous waste, and emergency response requirementsConducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and incident investigationsDriving corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings, incidents, and regulatory requirementsSupporting R&D, pilot operations, and manufacturing scale‑up from an EHS compliance perspectiveReviewing SDS documentation, chemical handling practices, PPE requirements, and exposure controlsSupporting industrial hygiene fundamentals, including exposure monitoring, ventilation, and PPE programsManaging documentation, reporting, training, and regulatory communicationPartnering with site leadership to balance production goals with safety and compliance prioritiesHelping reinforce a strong safety culture across a technical manufacturing environmentWhat We're Looking ForQualified candidates should bring strong EHS leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to aerospace, chemical manufacturing, polymers, composites, advanced materials, or similar technical production settings.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related field7 to 10+ years of EHS experience in a regulated manufacturing environmentExperience with hazardous chemicals, resins, solvents, carbon fibers, or advanced materialsStrong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state EHS regulationsExperience with HAZCOM, chemical safety, hazardous waste, and emergency response programsStrong documentation, reporting, training, and audit experienceAbility to work independently in a part‑time advisory and hands‑on EHS capacityPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in a related fieldExperience in aerospace, defense, chemical manufacturing, composite materials, polymers, or advanced materials productionExperience with high‑temperature processes, thermal hazards, combustible dust, fire protection, or hazardous materials shippingWorking knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or equivalent EHS management systemsExperience with OSHA PSM, EPA air or wastewater compliance, RCRA hazardous waste, or DOT hazardous materials shippingStrong Candidates Will Have Experience WithEnvironmental health and safety program managementChemical safety and hazardous materialsOSHA, EPA, DOT, and state regulatory complianceIndustrial hygiene fundamentalsHazard communication and SDS reviewHazardous waste managementEmergency response planningIncident investigation and root cause analysisAudits, inspections, and corrective action trackingEHS training and regulatory documentationCollaboration with operations, engineering, quality, R&D, and leadership teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
