    Description:

    The Part-Time Facility Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This position performs routine cleaning throughout the facility, including offices, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned spaces.

    The position is expected to work at least 20 hours per week. The typical schedule will begin at approximately 6:00 a.m. so that louder or more disruptive cleaning tasks can be completed before the regular workday, followed by additional cleaning during normal business hours.

    The ideal candidate is dependable, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, breakrooms, restrooms, hallways, entryways, and other assigned areas.
    • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors throughout the facility.
    • Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners as needed.
    • Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, windowsills, and other surfaces.
    • Clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces, including door handles, light switches, countertops, and shared equipment.
    • Restock restroom, breakroom, and cleaning supplies as needed.
    • Clean interior windows, glass doors, and mirrors.
    • Complete louder or more disruptive cleaning tasks before normal business hours whenever possible.
    • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
    • Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify the appropriate team member when additional supplies are needed.
    • Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damage, or unusual conditions within the facility.
    • Follow established safety procedures and instructions for the proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
    • Secure assigned areas and protect confidential or sensitive information encountered while performing cleaning duties.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Position Requirements:

    • Previous commercial, office, industrial, or custodial cleaning experience preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
    • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule.
    • Demonstrated honesty, discretion, and trustworthiness.
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
    • Ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned responsibilities.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Willingness to perform a variety of cleaning duties throughout the facility.
    • Ability to safely use standard cleaning products, tools, and equipment.

    Physical Demands/Work Environment:

    • Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to push or pull cleaning equipment and supply carts.
    • Regular exposure to cleaning products, dust, and varying noise levels.
    • Work is performed throughout office, common, and operational areas of the facility.
