    Essential Duties

    The Department of Criminal Justice at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified Part Time Faculty who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with undergraduates for both the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

    Part-Time Faculty are needed in the following areas:

    • Early college-offsite courses
    • Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Criminal Law, Intro to Crime Theory, and other core criminal justice courses

    Candidates must demonstrate ability to use technology effectively in online and in-person teaching, and learning designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.

    Candidates must develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning, and encourage student success to all students regardless of race.

    Required Qualifications

    Master's degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology or Sociology.

    Related fields may also be considered.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Teaching experience is preferred.

    This posting is for potential part-time, non-benefited, day program faculty positions in the Criminal Justice Department. The current salary rate for a typical 3 credit lecture course taught by a new part-time faculty member in the day program is $4,005.00, paid through bi-weekly payroll direct deposit. Rates may vary for other course types based on contact hour equivalencies.
