Part-Time Faculty: EED 600: Childhood Ed Field Seminar (Fall 2026)

The School of Education seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach EED 600 - Childhood Ed Field Seminar during the Fall semester, 2026

Gain hands-on classroom experience while building the knowledge and skills needed to create inclusive, anti-racist, and culturally responsive learning communities. Through direct engagement with students in grade 4-6 classrooms, candidates will analyze student learning and reflect critically on their experiences-developing the foundations of their teacher identity and educational philosophy. Corequisites: EED 600.1; EED 600.3; EED 600.4

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to applicants with experience supervising Syracuse University teacher education students.

Responsibilities

• Support candidates in developing inclusive, culturally responsive teaching practices
• Supervise teacher candidates during a six week field experience in Grades 4-6 classrooms
• Provide feedback and guidance to foster professional growth and reflective practice.
