    Job Description

The Setnor School of Music within The College of Visual and Performing Arts seeks a Part-time Instructor to teach MUE 300 Keyboard for Music Educators, a one credit hour course during the Fall semester, 2026.

This course develops essential keyboard skills for choral music educators who are not piano majors. Building on the foundational technique acquired in PNO 121, PNO 122 and two terms of individual piano lessons or equivalent, students learn practical skills for the choral classroom and rehearsal: playing individual vocal parts from scores, simple two-hand accompaniment reductions, and basic warm-up patterns. Students gain confidence using the piano as a teaching tool to support singers in the ensemble and classroom.
