Part-time/Floater Teacher

For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. The Grays Woods center is located next to GW Elementary School, nestled among trees in a park like setting. Currently, we have around 20 full-time and four part-time staff members, most of whom have been with ABC for at least five years or more. We have a position open for an energetic and motivated individual that would be able to establish and maintain a safe and creative learning environment in a variety of our classrooms. Being part-time, you would get to work in several different classrooms with different ages. This position has flexible hours. Responsibilities includeWorking along side of a lead teacherCommunicating daily with parentsMaintaining a neat, organized classroomProviding a nurturing, caring environment for the children in your careAbility to work independently and within our teamQualificationsAt least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED (Degree preferred)At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred)Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, both written and verballyHave, or be willing to get, required clearancesHave, or be willing to get, a physical with TB testABC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
