Part-Time Floater Teacher – Daycare & Preschool
Location: The Learning Experience – South Lyon, MI
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Bubbles Reliability Reward Bonus: Earn an additional $100 per month for six months after successfully completing your first 90 days with consistent attendance
Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–6:30 PM
The Learning Experience – South Lyon is seeking a dependable and energetic Part-Time Floater Teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon and closing hours.
This position is a great fit for a high school student, college student, or anyone looking for a consistent part-time afternoon schedule. You’ll work with different classrooms throughout the center, helping our teaching teams while creating a positive end to the day for children and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support across Infant, Toddler, and Preschool programs
- Assist teachers with afternoon activities, transitions, and pick-up routines
- Engage children through play, art, music, movement, and outdoor activities
- Help with snacks, classroom cleanup, and end-of-day routines
- Provide teacher break and classroom coverage as needed
- Help maintain required classroom ratios
- Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized classroom environments
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED preferred or currently attending high school
- Previous experience working with children is a plus, but not required
- Comfortable supporting different classrooms and age groups
- Reliable and consistently available during afternoon hours
- Positive, energetic, flexible, and team-oriented
- Ability to meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
