Job Description

The Learning Experience of Middletown is seeking an experienced dependable and adaptable Part-Time Floating Assistant Teacher to support multiple classrooms each afternoon. This is not a substitute position. This is a consistent structured role requiring professionalism, flexibility, and confidence across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers in all classrooms
• Assist with transitions, dismissal routines, and classroom management
• Maintain safety and ratio compliance
• Help keep classrooms clean and organized
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities
• Provide nurturing, positive interactions throughout the day

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed daycare center
• Experience working with multiple age groups (toddlers and/or preschool)
• Strong understanding of classroom routines and child development

Compensation

• $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
