We are seeking a passionate and dedicated part-time high school math teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics, a knack for engaging students, and the ability to create a positive learning environment. Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: - Design and implement engaging and effective lesson plans aligned with the school's math curriculum and standards.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
Instruction: - Deliver dynamic and interactive math instruction to high school students.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and mathematical literacy among students.
- Provide clear explanations of mathematical concepts and facilitate hands-on learning experiences when applicable.
Assessment and Feedback: - Assess student learning through various methods, including quizzes, tests, and class participation.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents as needed.
Classroom Management: - Establish a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Enforce school policies and procedures while promoting a culture of respect and cooperation among students.
Professional Development: - Stay informed about current trends and best practices in math education.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree.
- Previous teaching experience at the high school level is desirable.
- Strong content knowledge in various areas of high school mathematics, especially algebra.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on students' lives.
Schedule: - This is a part-time position with potential for increasing hours in future school years.
- Occasional participation in professional development and administrative meetings will be required.

Thursdays 4:05-4:50 Fridays 12:25-1:10
