The Part-time Human Resources Analyst provides professional-level recruitment, HR workflow, documentation, and compliance support for the Community Development Division. The position reports within the college Human Resources department and is assigned to Community Development to support high-volume hiring, braided grant-funded staffing, employment transactions, onboarding workflows, HR data tracking, and related documentation needs. The role works closely with Human Resources and Community Development leadership, hiring managers, supervisors, and fiscal/grant staff to coordinate recruitment and selection processes, support timely and accurate employment actions, maintain data integrity, monitor workflow status, and provide responsive guidance on routine HR processes. The position requires sound judgment, confidentiality, attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and the ability to manage deadlines in a compliance-sensitive environment.
Essential Functions
35% - Recruitment, Selection, and Hiring Coordination: Coordinates recruitment and selection activities for Community Development positions, for part-time, temporary, grant-funded, and other assigned roles. Supports recruitment timelines, position postings, screening logistics, committee coordination, interview materials, candidate communications, reference check coordination, and follow-up with hiring managers and HR staff. Tracks recruitment status and helps ensure hiring processes align with applicable policies, procedures, timelines, and equity considerations.
30% - HR Workflow, Position Management, and Employment Transactions: Coordinates HR workflows assigned to Community Development, including part-time position requests, staffing changes, assignment updates, renewal letters, and related employment processes. Supports the preparation, review, routing, tracking, and reconciliation of employment documentation, personnel action requests, HR system entries, reports, spreadsheets, and related records. Reviews information for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established processes. Works with HR and division leadership to identify workflow barriers, recommend process improvements, and strengthen communication between Human Resources and Community Development.
20% - Data Integrity, Reporting, and Compliance Documentation: Maintains tracking tools, records, logs, and reports to support audit readiness, grant documentation, staffing analysis, and internal reporting needs. Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports related to part-time hiring activity, position status, employee assignments, salaries/wages, onboarding progress, and other HR workflow indicators. Identifies pending actions, follows up on outstanding items, and escalates concerns or inconsistencies as appropriate.
15% - HR Consultation, Communication, and Process Support: Provides responsive HR process guidance and technical assistance to Community Development supervisors, managers, and employees on routine employment processes, timelines, documentation requirements, recruitment procedures, onboarding steps, and related HR workflows. Refers complex, sensitive, or policy-level matters to the appropriate HR leadership or subject-matter experts. Develops and updates workflow documents, templates, communication materials, checklists, and status summaries to improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency.
