Job Title Part-Time Instructional Faculty - Physician Assistant Program

Job Description

Summary

Instructional Faculty in the Physician Assistant Program are responsible for delivering high-quality didactic laboratory and/or clinical skills instruction that supports the Programs mission, learning outcomes, and accreditation standards. Faculty in this role contribute clinical expertise, evidence-based teaching, and learner-centered instruction to prepare PA students for competent, ethical, and patient-centered practice. Instructional Faculty work collaboratively with Program leadership and faculty to support curriculum delivery while adhering to institutional policies and accreditation requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA certification PA-C. Eligibility for licensure or current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan. Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience in the instructional content area. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in an academic environment. Ability to stand for extended periods during laboratory or skills-based instruction. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Ability to demonstrate clinical skills and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior teaching experience in PA medical or allied health education. Experience with lecturing or clinical skills teaching. Familiarity with competency-based education assessment strategies and educational technology.
