Salary/Position Classification

  • $7,500 contract, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 5-12 hours per week
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: Yes
  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): Yes

Purpose of Position

The purpose of this position is to provide effective teaching in the area of Oil & Gas Law at the University of North Dakota School of Law.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Effective teaching in the area of Oil & Gas Law.

Required Competencies

  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff colleagues
  • Eagerness to work closely with law students
  • Ability to teach in the curricular area of interest
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a diverse, multicultural, and inclusive setting

Minimum Requirements

  • Ph.D. In Oil & Gas, Environmental Law, or related field, or a J.D. Degree
  • 2 years of relevant work/teaching experience
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • J.D. Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
