  Department SummaryThe Department of Initial Teacher Preparation and Services seeks part-time faculty to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in Elementary Education. Part-time faculty must perform duties associated with teaching at the post-secondary level. These include (but are not limited to): preparing lectures and their class instructional materials; preparing and leading class discussion; providing prompt responses to student questions and inquiries as well as prompt and appropriate feedback on tests, quizzes, and assignments; and following VSU policies and procedures related to teaching. Typical Allocation of Duties: 100% Teaching  Required Qualifications

  Undergraduate Instruction and Supervision: Masters degree in the appropriate field (at least 18 graduate credit hours in a related field)  Graduate Instruction: Terminal degree in the appropriate fieldDemonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning Preferred Qualifications

  Ability to work effectively in a collaborative settingA record of mentoring students Teaching experience at the college level Proposed Salary
