Job Summary
The College of Coastal Georgia Department of Mathematics and Data Science seeks qualified applicants for the part-time applicant pool in the area of Data Science. This is an applicant pool for teaching in the School of Arts & Sciences. Applicants will be reviewed on an as-needed basis and hiring may occur up to the start date of a given semester.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach Data Science courses contingent to the needs of the College. Essential duties include:
• Maintaining office hours • Preparing lesson plans, lectures, and other course materials such as quizzes and exams • Completing required trainings • Teaching at the Brunswick campus or Camden Center either face-to-face, hybrid, or online • Submission of final grades and attendance reports
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: MS or PHD in Data Science or related fields with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Data Science.
Required Experience: Evidence of professional development
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience: Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate level Successful online teaching experience
