Faculty are hired evaluated and retained on the basis of conditions covered in the union contract. Primary duties include teaching and related activities assigned during a term of 4.5 months. It is expected that each faculty member engages in teaching and teaching-related activities. Non-tenure track faculty report to a department chairperson or director.Teaching faculty members are expected to teach develop syllabi and teaching materials ability to organize analyze and present knowledge or materials related to courses taught. Some disciplines require discipline specific certifications andor licensure in the field for practice or functioning within the State of Illinois degree specific course work andor graduate degrees in the discipline.Teach developmental mathematics Freshman or Sophomore courses in mathematics or computer science.Required EducationEarned Masters degree in Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited institution Ph. D is preferred.Required Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesExperience in teaching college algebra or C programming or data structures is required.
