    Position Description:

    The Department of Art + Design invites applications for part-time lecturers for the Fall and Spring semesters. These positions are for in-person instruction only at this time. Faculty selected for the position will be expected to teach at the undergraduate level. We are seeking qualified instructors in the following areas:

    Qualifications:

    Art History

    We are seeking art historians to teach undergraduate art history courses. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in the discipline and a commitment to undergraduate teaching.

    Art History Minimum Qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. in Art History is preferred.

    • An M.A. in Art History will also be considered.

    Design

    We are seeking instructors to teach undergraduate design courses. Candidates should demonstrate technical expertise and a capacity for effective teaching in their area of specialization.

    Design Minimum Qualifications:

    • A BSGD in Design is preferred.

    • Applicants with another degree in Design will also be considered when teaching and/or professional experience in the field clearly qualifies them to teach in the discipline.

    Studio Art

    We are seeking instructors to teach undergraduate studio art courses. Candidates should demonstrate technical expertise and a capacity for effective teaching in their area of specialization.

    Studio Art Minimum Qualifications:

    • An MFA in Studio Art is preferred.

    • A BFA with teaching experience and/or professional experience in the field that clearly qualifies the applicant to teach in the discipline will also be considered.
