General Summary The Eastern Michigan University School of Music & Dance invites applications for a Part-time Lecturer - Artist/Teacher of Tuba & Euphonium. The successful candidate will teach applied tuba & euphonium to a studio of undergraduate and graduate majors and minors. Additional duties include teaching the tuba portion of the secondary instrument class (for music education majors), recruiting, and performing/teaching at various department events and with various faculty ensembles. This part-time appointment (no benefits) will begin in the Fall 2026 semester and requires in-person instruction on EMU's campus. |
Principal Duties and Responsibilities The primary professional responsibility of the Employee is teaching. Employees are expected to develop and maintain their professional skills in order to ensure high quality education for their students. |
Minimum Qualifications: A Master of Music degree and significant applied teaching experience. The successful candidate should have an established record as a professional performing artist. |
