Job Description

BASIC FUNCTION Looking for motivated librarians to work both independently and as part of the library team. Responsibilities include all areas of library operations including reference instruction, technical services, and electronic services. Both daytime and evening hours are available.

Essential Duties Summary

  • Required Qualifications: The successful candidate by the final filing date must possess the minimum qualifications for a Librarian.
  • Masters in library science, library and information science, OR the equivalent.

EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District (YCCD) by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement. This ensures that candidates either meet the standard qualifications or have received official recognition of their equivalent qualifications.

  • Physical Demands: Range Step Class I - VII (Based on degree and teaching experience).
  • Salary Range: Steps 1 ($1558.22) - Step 10 ($2609.76) per unit.

Special Instructions to Applicants The Yuba Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time temporary Adjunct faculty position. Part-time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years.

Education Code §87408.6 states that no person shall be initially employed by a community college district in an academic or classified position unless the person has submitted to an examination within the past sixty (60) days to determine that he/she/they is free of active tuberculosis.
