Jupiter is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Line/Prep Cook to join our back-of-house team.
We are a big hearted, hospitality oriented restaurant in the heart of downtown Winthrop. We are looking for kitchen crew folks to join our team through late-September/mid-October (and beyond, if it's a good fit for all). Upbeat attitude, quick to learn and can handle a busy environment. Our team is small but mighty and we pride ourselves on our service. If you're passionate about food preparation and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to have you on our team.
Our style has been described as "elevated counter service" - we take orders but deliver food and bus for guests, as possible. We are open 8am-8pm so our shifts can be morning (more espresso service) or afternoon to evening (more alcohol service).
About the Role:
- Execute menu items accurately and on time, maintaining high standards with every order
- Manage and organize prep lists to keep your station running smoothly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station
- Communicate immediately when supplies are running low or issues arise
- Support the dishwashing team and assist front-of-house staff when primary duties are completed
What We're Looking For:
- Kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and food safety practices
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work either morning shifts (Open to 4 PM) or closing shifts (1 PM to close)
Compensation:- Hourly rate averages $28 $38 all-in, depending on experience. Tips are pooled and distributed across the team based on role, seniority, and good standing.
Requirements:
- Experience in a food service
- Must have WA food handlers certs
- 18 hrs/week or more
