Job Description ---------------
BASIC FUNCTION Develop and deliver instructional lectures for Mathematics and/or Statistics courses up to 10 hours/week. Organize and teach all levels of basic mathematics classes also statistics if qualified. Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. Teach day evening and/or weekend teaching assignments which may include distance learning, interactive television, online, and accelerated courses. Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester. Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired.

Required Qualifications ----------------------
QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate by the final filing date must possess the minimum qualifications stated below:
Masters Degree in mathematics or applied mathematics OR Bachelors in any of the above AND Masters in statistics, physics, or mathematics education. If the candidate has a Masters degree in Mathematics Education, then this Masters degree must have been conferred from a mathematics department at the time that the candidate obtained the degree. OR Possess a California Community College Life Credential in the subject matter area of Mathematics. OR the equivalent.

Equivalency Requirement ------------------------
All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District YCCD by the application filing date. Alternatively, applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
Physical Demands -----------------
Range: Step Class I - VII Based on degree and teaching experience. Salary Range: Steps 1 - 10, $1558.22 - $2609.76 per unit.

Part-time instructor positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years, applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.
