DESCRIPTION:

The Nassau BOCES Department of Regional Schools & Instructional Programs is seeking a Part-time Mathematics teacher to support the Twilight Alternative High School Program at its Long Beach location on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 - 6:00 PM. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering New York State standards aligned instruction in Geometry and Algebra/Trigonometry

  • Differentiating lessons and incorporating diverse teaching methods to meet the varying needs of all students

  • Utilizing instructional technology to deliver engaging instruction

REQUIREMENTS:

  • New York State Education Department (NYSED) Certification: Mathematics (Grades 7-12)

  • Strong instructional and classroom management skills

SALARY: $82.28 per hour
