Part Time Middle School Teachers

A middle school in Wilton, CT is seeking part‐time ELA, Mathematics, and Social Studies teachers for grades 6–8, with an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for educators who want meaningful classroom time without a full‐day commitment, and retired teachers are welcome.

Teachers will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging, project‐based lessons; integrating literacy, communication, and critical‐thinking skills; collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects; and incorporating technology tools such as Google Classroom to enhance instruction. Strong communication with families and the ability to cultivate a classroom culture rooted in respect, inquiry, and academic innovation are essential.

Position Details:

• Part‐time, 8am–12pm
• Pay up to $45/hour
• Start date: ASAP
• Middle school grades (6–8)
• Subjects: ELA, Mathematics, Social Studies

Requirements:

• Teaching experience (2+ years preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject; Master’s preferred
• Eligible for teaching certification/licensure
• Strong subject‐area knowledge
• Ability to deliver project‐based, engaging instruction
• Clearances on all required background checks
