Part-Time Morning Youth Soccer Coach

Soccer Shots Harrisburg is hiring energetic, dependable, and caring coaches to lead fun, engaging soccer sessions for children ages 2-8. No coaching experience is required—we'll teach you everything you need to know through our comprehensive paid training program.
Our mission is simple: to positively impact children's lives. Every week, you'll help build confidence, character, and a love for being active while making Soccer Shots the best part of each child's week.
Schedule
This position is focused on weekday mornings at local preschools and childcare centers.
Ideal availability:
- Monday-Friday mornings (approximately 9:00 AM-12:00 PM)
- Available at least 2 weekday mornings each week
- Consistent availability from early September through early November
- Interest in returning for our Winter 2027 season beginning in January
Coaches typically work 4-15 hours per week.
What You'll Do
- Lead high-energy 30-45 minute soccer sessions for children ages 2-8
- Teach character development alongside basic soccer skills using our expert-designed curriculum
- Set up and pack up equipment at each location
- Encourage every child through positive coaching and age-appropriate instruction
- Communicate professionally with preschool staff, parents, and the Soccer Shots Leadership Team
- Create a safe, welcoming, and memorable experience for every child

No soccer coaching experience is required. Experience within the early education field is preferred.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to be active outdoors and demonstrate basic movements during sessions
- Ability to pass required background clearances
- Available at least two weekday mornings each week
- Able to commit to the Fall season (September through early November) with minimal scheduling conflicts
A Typical Morning
- Arrive at a local preschool around 8:50 AM
- Set up Soccer Island
- Coach several fun 30-45 minute sessions
- Celebrate goals, encourage smiles, and help children build confidence
- Pack up around lunchtime and head home knowing you made a difference
