We’re currently looking for a Live-In or Live-Out Part Time Nanny in Grass Valley, CA 95959
A lovely family is seeking a live-in or live-out (candidate's choice) part-time nanny for their 10 year old for an immediate start. Care is needed 5-7 days per week from 8am-12pm. The family is open to candidates who are only available 5 or 6 days per week. The child loves imaginative play, dress-up, and outdoor activities. She has ADHD, so experience with neurodivergent children is important. The home also has a large, friendly dog (no pet care required beyond occasional feeding). The family is looking for a patient, engaging, and fun-loving nanny who can provide structure, encourage independence in daily routines, and bring experience working with children with special needs.
- Start date: Immediate
- Length of Position: Long-term
- Schedule: 8am-12pm (5, 6 or 7 days per week)
- Compensation: $25-$30 per hour
Responsibilities
- Engage and play with the child
- Prepare meals for the children
- Assist with bath time and prepare clothing for the next day
- Provide homework support for the 12-year-old
- Perform light housekeeping and organization related to the child
Requirements
- 2 years of paid, professional childcare experience preferred
- Experience with special education required
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to provide 2 professional childcare references
- Ability to pass a background and social media screening
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and valid auto insurance
- Reliable vehicle for transporting child
- English speaking
Compensation + Benefits
This position pays $25-$30 per hour, and the family is looking for 20-28 hours of care per week.
- Amount of guaranteed hours will be dependent on the candidate's choice of schedule.
Benefits to be determined, but may include:
- Up to 3 vacation days per year
- Up to 3 sick/personal days per year
- Paid federal holidays (if they fall on a scheduled workday)
- Guaranteed weekly hours
